Meet Dr. Tiffany Chen
Dr. Tiffany Chen grew up in the nearby town of Edison, New Jersey. She attended Rutgers University (New Brunswick) where she graduated with a summa cum laude distinction while earning degrees in Cell Biology and Neuroscience, as well as in Chemistry. Afterwards, she went on to pursue her Doctor in Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Columbia University School of Dental Medicine in New York City. There, she graduated at the top of her class with the Dean’s Scholar (Top 10) recognition and earned her place in the esteemed Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental society.
Driven by her dream of becoming an orthodontist, Dr. Tiffany went on to receive her Certificate in Orthodontics and Master in Dental Science (MDS) degree from Rutgers University, School of Dental Medicine. While there, she served on the Craniofacial Disorders team at University Hospital, gaining valuable experience in treating complex orthodontic cases. She also conducted research evaluating the impact of the hyoid bone on skeletal growth, which has since been published.
After completing residency, Dr. Tiffany worked as an orthodontist in private practice before coming back to Dr. Emily Yu’s private orthodontic practice. Funny enough, Dr. Tiffany was actually Dr. Yu’s patient as a teenager, and it was Dr. Yu who inspired her to pursue a career in orthodontics! Dr. Tiffany is excited to continue Dr. Yu’s legacy of fantastic smiles in the Central New Jersey area.
Dr. Tiffany is proudly board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, but nothing makes her prouder than her patients’ huge smiles at the end of their orthodontic journey!
In her spare time, Dr. Tiffany enjoys spending time with her family, tending to her house plants, gardening, and exploring nature through travel.
Dr. Tiffany stays on top of the latest techniques in orthodontics through continuing education. She is Invisalign-certified, and maintains professional memberships in:
